Floyd loves music.
Just the day before my daughter had been playing that piano and it was fabulous. She played the moonlight sonata and the soundtrack from the movie, Amelie. Fantastic piano music that brings tears to your eyes.
I think Floyd’s missing the music and my daughter, Sky.
He loves to sit and listen to music, particularly guitar or piano, so he’s been named after a famous band.
PInk Floyd have always been an influence for me in my music.
David Gilmour of course is the penultimate professional. Anyone watching him play on his ‘Live at Gdansk’ release can see how easy he makes playing guitar look.
David Gilmour has produced some of the worlds most memorable and enchanting guitar riffs and solos. Yet some of his solo work goes seemingly unnoticed.
Today’s song “Raise my Rent” from the album “David Gilmour” 1978 is from his first solo album.
This is a bit of a time warp and a beautiful illustration of great guitar sound and musical phrasing.
Buckle in and enjoy the guitar in this, it’s brilliant.
