Why Guitar Is A Revolution

Brianmaygat Why Guitar Is A RevolutionIs the Guitar a revolution in itself ?

When you think about it, Guitar has changed the face of music for all time.

From it’s earliest days it was known for it’s ability to silence an audience and sooth souls.

Kings and Queens summoned Lute players for entertainment and to write songs conveying hidden messages of love and war.

Woody Guthrie was known to have written : “This machine kills fascists” on his Guitar.

Guitar has the power to stimulate people into a frenzy of dance or into transcendent states where peace reigns supreme.

Today the Guitar stands alone in it’s glory as an instrument holding power like a wizards staff. The magic is coaxed out by discipline, practice and the energy driving the soul playing it.

The Guitar has created entire industrys and has become a multi-billion dollar economy.

The global music industry today is estimated to be in excess of $16 billion dollars. That’s just instrument and audio sales.

I found some interesting statistics here on Guitar sales: The economics of guitar alone unerpins its status in the world today. ‘Guitar Hero’ has also been responsible for turning lots more people on to playing guitar.

What a wonderful world. Guitars everywhere and Guitar players coming out of the woodwork left right and center.
